Wreath-making, using flowers and herbs grown and dried by members of the Western Reserve Herb Society, has been a long and beloved tradition.  This year is no exception as we celebrate 74 years of floral beauty and the volunteers who create that beauty in our gardens.

Starting with Northern Bayberry, Boxwood or Artemisia, wreath forms are filled and made ready to decorate.  Blooming plants such as straw flowers, lavender, roses and yarrow are harvested weekly in the WRHS herb garden at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, hung to dry, and then used to create unique and beautiful wreaths in a variety of sizes.  Small arrangements of dried plants are made in baskets and other attic treasures.  If you are one of our “do it yourself” customers, we have bundles of dried herbs and flowers to take home and create your own arrangements.

Whether you are looking for a special touch for your own home, or for the perfect hostess, birthday or holiday gift, you will not want to miss the Wreath Department at the Herb Fair.
