Answer: Hi Tom, Thanks for your kind inquiry. While we are sympathetic to your situation and we love having the quality of our products acknowledged in all parts of the country, we do not sell on line. We have considered it many times but we haven’t been able to make it work yet. We hope to see you at our next Herb Fair which will be on October 14, 2023.
I am currently looking to replace a cookbook published by the Western Reserve Herb Society (WRHS) of Cleveland back in 1979 It’s titled: Herbs: a Cookbook and More, edited by Patricia Weitzel, illustrated by Eleanor Donley, 1979 and I believe was published by John Gallagher of Oberlin Printing Company. It’s a soft bound 218 pgs book.
My copy has been a well-used kitchen resource for almost 40 years, needless too say it’s in the poorest of conditions… thus my search to replace.
So, any ideas, or information about how to find a replacement copy or second or revised edition would be wonderful. I’ve tried Amazon, and looked through the boutiques and antiques shops around town and nothing. So, anything you can add or suggest would start my year off tremendously.
Answer: Dear Marty, I know the cookbook you are asking about as I have one that my sister found somewhere near Columbus. These books are scarce and very hard to come by. Most of the remaining cookbooks published for Western Reserve Herb Society (there were 5 different cookbooks printed from 1957-1991) are held on tightly within the WRHS membership. Older members giving them to our newer members.
However, don’t give up. Keep looking and you may indeed come upon a stray cookbook just waiting for you. But, at this time, I’m sorry that I can’t be of more help.
